P’s First Camping Trip

Back in May, Preston and Brian were invited by our neighbor-friends for an overnight “camping” trip in the courtyard of Christ Methodist. Preston was so excited and couldn’t wait to go! From what I hear, Preston and Tyler slept great (although the dad’s didn’t) and Caroline had fun playing with them until it was time to go home. They also stayed up the latest of all the kids, playing in the gym and on the playground until almost 11 p.m.! It was a free event, and highly recommend if they do one again! Thanks for the invite Brasfield family!

A Baptism & Father’s Day

On Sunday, June 16, my best friend’s little boy, sweet John Hopson, was baptized at Christ United Methodist Church. We attended his baptism and party afterwards. Such a sweet baby! He was so perfect during the entire church service.

It was also Father’s Day. I snapped this sweet shot of P with his daddy. It might be my most favorite picture of them ever. My two hearts! We had fun celebrating Brian and our dads this year. 🙂

New Life

My best friend, Robyn, and her husband John Michael welcomed a new baby boy to their family. They asked me to be at the hospital when John Hopson entered to the world to take some pictures. I am far from a professional photographer, but after a 4:30 a.m. text message and a long wait, I headed to the hospital when I heard she was about to start pushing.

My friendship with Robyn goes back to high school, and grew and grew over the last 10 years. She and JM (and now JH) are like family to us. Robyn is P’s godmother, and her patient, calm and loving way has already made her a great mom.

JH is beautiful, and so is their new family of three. When I saw Robyn holding JH for the first time, I just lost it. I will always remember that sweet moment and the proud looks on their faces. Welcome to the world, John Hopson! We are always here for you, if you ever need anything!
